Seed Of The Week: Ourspace

What: Ourspace is developing a workplace platform designed to help companies efficiently organize their teams around projects. The service will create a centralized view of employees' skills so managers can redeploy them internally to leverage their experience as products evolve or new challenges emerge. Managers will be able to better track what each team and employee is working on to create greater organizational flexibility.

Why: The process of deciding how employees should be distributed and organized can be time-consuming, and is still often done manually. Some projects may have too many or too few employees, while some employees may either feel stretched or underutilized. Internal sources of information about the assignments of employees as well as their skills can be fragmented and out of date. As a result, decisions are often made subjectively rather than taking a data-driven approach.

Who: Co-founders are located in Paris, Barcelona, and London: CEO Megan Murphy (former VP of Product at Hotjar), CTO Mark Allen (former Senior Engineering Manager at Glovo), and CMO Stephanie Bowker (former VP of Marketing at Spendesk).

Seed: $2.5 million

Investors: Investors include Connect Ventures and Seedcamp along with angel investors that include the founders of Maze, Grabyo, and Skew by Coinbase.

What's Next: Ourspace will use the money to accelerate product development and expand its beta, which you can sign up for here.
