Seed Of The Week: Zoī
What: Zoī is developing a mobile app that blends medical checkups and preventative care. The goal is to deliver personalized insights based on health data with periodic reminders based on predictive algorithms to do certain things to improve a user's health. The service will include Zoī health centers that patients will visit for checkups and lab work to establish baseline health information.
Why: The company believes a hybrid approach to preventative medicine, using both in-person visits and data to encourage better self-care, will improve outcomes.
Who: Co-founders Ismaël Emelien, a former advisor to President Emmanuel Macron; Paul Dupuy, who previously worked at Workwell; Cédric Carbone and Fabrice Bonan who were formerly at Talend; and Dr. Claude Dalle.

Next: The company is in the process of launching its first health clinic in Paris this year with a plan to accept larger numbers of patients only after a testing phase of the concept. And they are currently trying to fill 20 open positions.
