🚀 WaouW was founded on May 3, 2025, by Eric Lionel PEREZ, Emmanuel Daunizeau, and Laurent Michaux. The company is particularly notable because of Perez, who launched NFrance in February 1997. NFrance was, for a time, one of France's largest hosting providers and was acquired in 2015 by Kosmos, a company specializing in digital solutions for the education sector. In 2020, Perez launched ORMELIA WEB INDUSTRIE (OWI), a home web hosting solutions provider. Via Ormelia, Perez and his team have developed the "WaouW Box," a home nano-server that allows customers to self-host their sites from home. The costs are lower than classic hosting, the company claims the box is much less energy intensive, and it allows for greater privacy and security.
